Hoisting them puppies

I have big boobs.

This is not me skiting, it’s simply a fact. I’d prefer that they were smaller, truth be told, but after years of wishing them other than they are I am now at peace with my buxom status.

But bra shopping is still a pain. Yes, ranges and sizes and colour options have broadened in recent years but finding the right size in a style you actually like can still be a depressing, time-consuming, back-angering experience (from all that time spent bent over trying to get to the larger sizes which are always on the bottom rack and right at the back).

There’s a reason I haven’t bought any new lingerie in over a year. I basically bought some breastfeeding bras around the time my son was born and then never had the time or inclination to go shopping again.

Yes, you can buy online but bras are the kind of garment that you really need to try on or you risk wasting a whole bunch of money on something that makes you feel uncomfortable and/or doesn’t hold in the things that need holding.

But today I was in The Warehouse looking for something else and noticed some pretty aesthetically pleasing bras that looked suspiciously close to my size range and this is how I discovered that the Rose & Thorne range goes right up to a G cup. The styles are pretty. The prices are affordable. And they’re actually well made.

And the best thing is Rose & Thorne only do five styles, though they do them in a variety of fabrics and colours, so if you find a style or two that work for you and a size that fits you can happily purchase online, or just pick one up off the rack without having to try it on the next time you want to buy.

This is a revelation. It’s amazing what new underwear can do for a girl.

I feel pretty!
